Tips | Export a catalog file | |||||

Exporting a supplier catalog allows you to make changes to the catalog
file manually. After making changes, reimport the supplier catalog into
Ariba Buyer Administrator. You can also use export to save back-up files.
When you make manual changes, the next time the supplier sends a new version of the same catalog, the new version will not contain the changes you made to the previous version. To prevent having to make the same changes each time a new supplier catalog version is imported, ask the supplier to make the changes to the catalog.

Note: When a catalog file is first imported into Ariba Buyer Administrator, some information can be discarded as part of the import process. Therefore, it is possible that when the same file is exported, it will be slightly different from the original version. For more information about exporting objects, see the Ariba Buyer Administrator Customization Guide. |
