Catalog kit statuses
This status Indicates
Creating

A catalog kit is being created. When the catalog kit is saved and if it is sent for approval, the status changes to Waiting for approval. When the catalog kit is saved and if it is not sent for approval, the status changes to Active.

Waiting for approval

A catalog kit has been created and was sent for approval. Approval of catalog kits is optional. The status of the catalog kit changes when the kit approval request is denied or approved.

When its status is Waiting for approval, the catalog kit cannot be edited.

Active

The catalog kit has been activated. When a catalog kit is not sent for approval, when it is saved, it is automatically activated and is available for users to search or order in the Ariba Buyer product catalog. If the catalog kit was sent for approval, the catalog kit must be approved before it is automatically activated.

When the status of a catalog kit that was not sent for approval is Active, it can be edited at any time. When the status of a catalog kit that was sent for approval is Active, it cannot be edited because the same catalog kit cannot be sent for approval again. To make changes to an approved Active catalog kit, copy it on the main Catalog Kits screen, make the changes and send the new copy for approval. When the new version is approved and activated, the old version is retired. Note: Do not change the supplier and supplier part number or the new catalog kit will not be recognized as a new version of the original kit.

Denied

The kit approval request was denied.

When its status is Denied, the catalog kit can be edited and sent for approval again.

Retired A catalog kit with the same supplier and supplier part number has been activated. When a new version of a catalog kit (with the same supplier and supplier part number) is activated, the older version is automatically retired. The retired catalog kit continues to appear in the Catalog Kits screen, unlike deleted catalog kits, which no longer appear once they are deleted.
