Edit
rules determine whether users can modify documents that have already been
submitted for approval. For example, when a user changes a document after
it has been submitted, the edit rule determines whether the user's changes
require reapproval.

To display the Rule Set - Edit Edit Rule screen
to modify an edit rule for a rule set, click the Edit button
in the Edit Rule section of the Rule Set - Create Rule Set screen
or the Rule Set - Edit Rule Set screen.

- Modify the type of the edit rule.
- Modify the code of the edit rule. Click Check
Syntax to verify the syntax and correct errors. The check is limited
to formal syntax; it does not check the validity or existence
of functions contained in the rule or other language constructs.
- Select the required permission
a user must have to be able to view the rule in the Rule Editor. By
default, new rules are assigned the RuleEditor permission.
- When you are done modifying the rule, click
OK to save your changes and return to the previous screen,
or click Cancel to return without saving the changes.
