Tips   Define formula pricing values

Once you add attribute values, you can edit the attribute on the Formula Pricing screen to change values, or delete the attribute values and enter new ones.

To display the Define Values screen, click Define values (or Create Matrix) when creating formula pricing for item attributes on the Formula Pricing screen.

 

The Catalog Manager creates the initial attributes that are displayed. You can add values for existing attributes or create a new attribute and associated values.

  1. To add values to the existing attribute:
    • Enter the appropriate values in the Value fields. If defining a two-dimensional matrix (or table) of two individual attributes, enter values in the fields for the desired combinations of the two attributes. The values are used in the formula pricing calculation to determine the actual price when the item is added to an order.
    • Click OK to save the values and return to the Formula Pricing screen, where you can add the attribute to the formula.
    • Click Cancel to return to the previous screen without adding attribute values.
  2. To create a new attribute and associated attribute values:
    • Enter a new Formula Attribute Name using:
      • An alphabetical character in the leading position
      • Only alphanumeric values in the field
      • An underscore “_” to separate words; do not use spaces or special characters, such as $
    • Enter the appropriate values in the Value fields. If defining a two-dimensional matrix of two individual attributes, enter values in the fields for the desired combinations of the two attributes.
    • Click OK to save the values and return to the Formula Pricing screen, where you can add the attribute to the formula.
    • Click Cancel to return to the previous screen without adding attribute values.
