Contracts are especially useful for high-cost, long-term purchases. You can more easily manage supplier and budget commitments; negotiate better discounts by basing the discounts on future purchases; experience significant productivity improvements and cost savings; receive a faster Return on Investment (ROI).

A CSR enables you to use Ariba Enterprise Sourcing to electronically solicit and manage bids from invited suppliers for providing those goods or services.

Select the type of contract to create:

• To create a new request for a contract, click Contract Request.
• To upload a contract from an existing Excel file containing contract data, click Upload Contract Request.
• To create a new request to source goods or services with selected suppliers (called a contract sourcing request or CSR), click Sourcing Request for Contract.
