Use the Preferred check box when more than one external value is mapped to one internal value and the information will be sent to an ERP system outside of Ariba Buyer.

Click a tool icon at the top of the screen to take the corresponding action. For example, to fix errors in the catalog, click the Error tool. Tools appear on map screens when they are accessed from inside a specific supplier catalog. When mapping screens are accessed through the Navigation Panel links, tools do not appear.

This map is used when working with supplier catalogs using ANSI units of measure codes.

1. Search for an existing units of measure (CIF) mapping:
   • Enter a external value, choose an internal value or choose a partition and click Search.
   • Click Add/Remove Search Filters to set the filters used in the search. Click List All to list all the units of measure (CIF) mappings in Ariba Buyer.
   • If available, click the Table Options icon, located in the row above the column headers, to display commands that control the display of data in the table. For example, you can hide or show columns of data, group data, or export data to Excel.
2. Review the search results:
   • If there is more than one page of search results, use the pull-down menu to view a specific page.
   • Click the Preferred check box in a map entry if you want to specify which value is preferred in the case that there is more than one external value mapped to one internal value.
   • To delete a units of measure map (CIF) entry, select the check box and click Delete.
3. You can also:
   • Create a new units of measure (CIF) mapping: click Create New.
   • Export the units of measure (CIF) map: click Export.
4. If available, click Catalog Home to return to the Catalogs screen.
