Ariba Buyer Administrator gives administrative users, such as system administrators and catalog managers, a task-based approach to performing day-to-day administrative functions. Tasks are grouped logically into predefined workspaces, and access to workspaces and tasks is based on user permissions. In Ariba Buyer Administrator you can edit parameters; download configuration files to your local computer and upload new or edited files; change log settings, view log files, search the database log for system activity; run and reinitialize integration events and scheduled tasks; use the new rule editor; manage user sessions; view system metrics; run the Inspector; assign user groups, roles, and permissions; import and manage catalogs; and perform other tasks. Object managers in each workspace allow you to view, create, edit,
delete, and export data objects such as users, organizations, suppliers,
groups, roles, permissions, commodity codes, and others. You can view
data across partitions; however, you may edit most data only in the
partition that you logged in to. You can edit parameters, run integration
events and scheduled tasks, and export data to Ariba Buyer Administrator allows you to manage certain data directly within Ariba Buyer and retain Ariba Buyer as the source of truth for that data. Ariba Buyer Administrator indicates which data fields are maintained in an external system as the source of truth. |
