Tips   About euro conversion criteria

If your company intends to use EMU currencies until their associated expiration dates, your system administrator will set “end dates” for those currencies to ensure that they expire on or before the actual end dates.

If you attempt to create a request that contains an expired currency, you receive an invalid currency warning message.

Requests that contain European Monetary Union (EMU) currencies and meet the following criteria are converted from EMU to euro during the euro conversion process:

  • Requisitions and purchase orders with a status of Submitted and Approved. Requisitions and purchase orders with any other status are not converted.
  • Expense reports and travel authorizations with a status of Submitted and Approved. Reports and authorizations that have a status of Processed are not converted.

During the conversion process:

  • Your system administrator runs reports before and after euro conversion to verify that the converted totals are correct.
  • Expense report, purchasing card, and travel authorization totals are converted, but their line items are not changed (for historical reporting and audit purposes).
