To prevent escalation, click the link in the notification message to view and act upon the request in Ariba Buyer. Or log in, click Approve Requests in the Navigation Panel on the Home page, and act upon the request.

When a request has been pending your approval or denial beyond a specified time period, Ariba Buyer emails you a notification message warning that it is ready to automatically escalate the request to another user. The message indicates to whom the request will be escalated and when.

To prevent the automatic escalation, you must approve or deny the request before the scheduled escalation.
