After the unknown supplier is resolved, the sourcing request can proceed. For an SR, Ariba Contract Compliance updates the original purchase request with information from the sourcing request and moves the purchase request through the approval process. For an CSR, Ariba Contract Compliance creates a draft contract request (CR) for each selected supplier, which must be completed and submitted for approval.

When the requester of a spot purchase sourcing request (SR) or a contract sourcing request (CSR) chooses a selected supplier in Ariba Sourcing Enterprise that is unknown to Ariba Contract Compliance, users with the SupplierManager permission are notified of the problem. When the Supplier Manager resolves the problem by adding the supplier to Ariba Contract Compliance, the requester of the sourcing request receives an email notification message that the unknown supplier is resolved.
