Use the Add Title screen to enter a title and basic information about a new contract sourcing request (CSR).

To display the Add Title screen, click Sourcing Request for Contract on the Create Contract Page screen or the Create a New Request screen.

 
  1. Enter a title for the request. Make the title meaningful so you can easily identify the request later.
  2. Indicate on whose behalf you are creating the request.
  3. Enter the date on which you expect contracts that eventually result from the sourcing request to become effective, and the date on which you expect them to expire. To ensure dates are in the correct format, use the Calendar icon. These preferred dates are used only to indicate to CSR approvers the general time frame of your sourcing needs. You can change these dates later when you set up the corresponding RFX in Ariba Enterprise Sourcing.
  4. Indicate whether to limit the resulting contracts by quantity (purchasing a specific quantity of an item) or by amount (spending a specific amount of money for an item). Enter only whole number (non-precision) item quantities.
  5. Indicate the target application, or sourcing destination, where you intend to set up and manage the RFX. For example, Ariba Enterprise Sourcing.
  6. Click Next to go to the next step in the process, Checkout to go to the Checkout screen where you can complete the request using one screen, or Exit to stop working on the request. If you exit and choose to save the request, it has a status of Composing and is listed on the Composing status screen. You can edit the request at a later time and then submit it for approval.
