Tips   Deny requests

You can deny requests that originate from any partition; you don't need to be logged into the partition in which a request was created in order to act on it.

The Deny command is available only to active approvers; you can deny only when a request is waiting for your approval. You cannot edit a request after you have denied it.

To deny a request that is waiting for your approval, click Deny. Ariba Buyer:

  1. Displays the Comment dialog where you can explain why you are denying the request.
  2. Changes the request status to Denied.
  3. Updates the Approval Flow screen to show you have denied the request..
  4. Emails a notification message to the preparer.

After you deny a request, the responsibility to decide a course of action shifts to the original Preparer.
