Tips   About the travel profile process

Depending on your company's guidelines, a travel profile may be required prior to making travel arrangements.

Once you create a travel profile, you can track its status and see where it is in the approval flow.

Travel profiles enable users to indicate travel preferences such as preferred airlines and hotels, seat assignments, and credit cards.

Travel profiles involve these basic steps (see the process flow diagram for a detailed description of the process):

  1. A user creates a profile of travel preferences and submits the profile for approval. Ariba Buyer notifies designated approvers that a travel profile is waiting for their approval.
  2. Approvers approve or deny the travel profile:
    • If approved, the process is finished.
    • If denied, the user can edit and resubmit the travel profile for approval.
