Tips   Rebuild the catalog index

Rebuilding the index refreshes the popularity of items in the Ariba Buyer product catalog. Ariba Buyer records each time an item is ordered by users and it uses this information to rate item relevance in search results. If you are not rebuilding your index periodically for other reasons, you should do so to refresh the relevance.

Ariba Buyer maintains relevance for items even when a new version of a supplier catalog is imported. So highly popular continue to list as highly popular after loading a new catalog version.
