Tips   Edit Ariba Buyer users

To view all permissions assigned to the shared user associated with an Ariba Buyer user, either directly or indirectly, click the Ariba Buyer user name on the Buyer Users screen.

Only one Ariba Buyer user in each partition can be associated with a particular shared user.

When you click Save, your changes are saved to the Ariba Buyer database. Objects (such as Ariba Buyer users, roles, and PCards) with the Adapter Source set to ManuallyMaintained are maintained within Ariba Buyer and not updated by integration events. Objects with the Adapter Source not set to ManuallyMaintained can be overwritten or deleted by integration events. For more information, see About the adapter source.

When you edit multiple Ariba Buyer users, if any of the users you are editing has an external adapter source, then Source Of Truth: External System is displayed in section headings on the edit screen.

If you click Save and an out-of-date error is displayed, the object you are editing was deleted or edited by another user. For more information, see About out-of-date objects.
