You can only edit partitioned commodity codes in your login partition.
Each partitioned commodity code map entry maps a commodity code in
the system domain to the partitioned commodity code you are working
with and includes default accounting information (an account type and
account) so that users do not have to specify this information.
When you click Save, your changes are saved to the database.
Objects (such as users, roles, and commodity codes) with the Adapter
Source set to ManuallyMaintained are maintained within
your Ariba Spend Management application and not updated by integration
events. Objects with the Adapter Source not set to ManuallyMaintained
can be overwritten or deleted by integration events. For more information,

If you click Save and an out-of-date error is displayed, the
object you are editing was deleted or edited by another user. For more

To display the Partitioned Commodity
Codes - Edit Partitioned Commodity Code screen, select a partitioned
commodity code on the Partitioned Commodity Codes screen and then
click Edit.

Depending on the permissions assigned to you, and whether you are
in view or edit mode, you may only view details, or you may both view and edit details.
- Modify the partitioned commodity code name and
description. You cannot modify the adapter source or the partitioned
commodity code ID.
- Modify partitioned commodity code map entries for the partitioned
commodity code you are working with.
- To create a new map entry for this partitioned commodity code,
click Create New. Then select a commodity code name, an
account type, an account, and an adapter source for this map entry.
The commodity code name, account type, and adapter source are
required.
- To delete one or more map entries, click their check boxes and
then click Delete.
- If available, click the Table Options icon,
located in the row above the column headers, to display commands that
control
the display of data in the table. For example, you can hide or
show columns of data; group data; or export data to Excel.
- Click Save to save your changes, or Cancel
to return to the previous screen without saving your changes.
- A log message is created in the database
audit log when a partitioned commodity code is edited.
