Some purchase requisition
statuses also apply to sourcing requests: Composing, Submitted,
Approved, Denied, Ordering, Ordered, Canceling, and Canceled.
Only users with the permission necessary to work with sourcing requests
can view SRs and CSRs. To view documents with this status, click the
Sourcing status link in the Home page.
Ariba Contract Compliance emails notification messages to keep relevant
users informed of the status of sourcing requests, and logs the history
onto the History
tab.

A spot
purchase sourcing request (SR) or a contract
sourcing request (CSR). changes status as it moves through the business
process.

SRs that have a corresponding sourcing event, or RFX,
active in Ariba Enterprise Sourcing. The original purchase request
is fully approved, but Ariba Contract Compliance has not yet received
trade confirmations from selected suppliers.

| Sourced |
SRs and CSRs that have a corresponding RFX for which selected
suppliers have been chosen. The sourcing request has been updated
with information about the selected suppliers.
At this point, for an SR, Ariba Contract Compliance updates the
original purchase request with information from the sourcing request
and moves the request through the approval process. For a CSR,
Ariba Contract Compliance creates a draft contract
request (CR) for each selected supplier, which must be completed
and submitted for approval.

| Sourcing |
SRs and CSRs that have a corresponding RFX.
If an SR fails, but there are still other active SRs, the requisition
remains in the Sourcing status. However, if an SR fails and there
are no other active SRs, the requisition returns to the Submitted
status.

RFX open for bidding by invited suppliers. |

Pending Selection |
SRs and CSRs that have a corresponding
RFX that is closed to further bidding, and for which the RFX
initiator/owner has been asked to evaluate bids and select winners. |
| Sourcing Completed |
SRs and CSRs that have a corresponding RFX, and for which Ariba
Contract Compliance has received trade confirmations from the
selected suppliers.

| Sourcing Failed |
SRs and CSRs that have a corresponding RFX that cannot be processed
further. Sourcing requests can fail when a supplier withdraws
its winning bid or when a request is canceled or expires.
