Tips   Fix an error

The item is automatically revalidated after errors are fixed. If the edits you made fixed the error, after revalidation, the error will no longer appear in the catalog.

If the errors you are fixing occurred because you enabled a new type definition, be sure to reactivate the catalog after you fix the errors. Also, if the error is in a catalog from a subscription that contains incremental load catalogs, all catalogs in the subscription that were activate after the one containing the error must be reactivate in the same order they were last activated.

Screen details

To display the Catalogs - Fix Error screen, click the link in the Occurrences column on the Catalogs - View Errors screen.

  1. Edit the field causing the error.
    • Click Apply current changes to all items to apply the edit to all items in the supplier catalog with the same error.
    • Click Apply change to each individual item only to apply the edit to the current item.
    • If you are fixing more than one error, page through the errors with the page number pull-down menu or arrows.
  2. Click Save to save your changes, or Cancel to return to the previous screen without saving your changes.

Note: You cannot edit items in supplier catalogs that save the status of Activated. To edit items in an active supplier catalog, you must first deactivate it. Also, if the NoUpdateAfterApprove parameter is set to true, you cannot edit items in supplier catalogs of any status that have been sent for approval. For more information about this parameter, see the Ariba Buyer Catalog Guide.
