Tips   Time sheet statuses

As the time sheet progresses, Ariba Buyer emails notification messages to keep relevant users informed and logs the history onto the History tab.

A time sheet with a status of Submitted or Denied can be withdrawn by the requester. When a time sheet is withdrawn, its status reverts to Composing, the requester receives an email notification message that the request has been withdrawn, and the action is logged on the History Tab.

About time sheets

As a time sheet moves through the business process, the time sheet's status changes to indicate where it is in the process.

This status Indicates
Composing

The preparer is still creating the time sheet and hasn't submitted it for approval. Only the preparer and authorized users can view, modify, or delete the time sheet. When the time sheet is submitted for approval, the status changes to Submitted.

Submitted

A time sheet has been submitted for approval, and at least one approver still needs to take action on it. This status applies until the time sheet is fully approved (the status then changes to Approved), an approver denies it (the status then changes to Denied), or the preparer withdraws it (the status then changes to Composing). You must withdraw a submitted request before you can change it.

Approved

All required approvers in the approval flow have approved the time sheet. After a time sheet is approved, it is sent to the supplier.

Denied

An approver has denied the time sheet. The preparer can withdraw the time sheet, either to update and resubmit it for approval, or to delete it.
