When you save your edits, the changes appear immediately in the product
catalog. Kits with certain statuses
cannot be edited.
You must be assigned the KitManager permission to create, edit, and
delete catalog kits.

To display the Catalog Kits - Edit Kit screen,
click Edit in the Catalog Kits screen. To display the View
Details of Kit screen, click any link in the Kit ID column on
the Catalog Kits screen.

If you are editing a catalog kit and if you have the correct permissions,
the fields on this screen are editable. If you are only viewing the
details of the kit, the fields on this screen are not editable.
- Edit or view general catalog
kit information:
- Edit information for the kit as an item. For example, each kit
must have a kit ID, description, and supplier part # that is independent
of the ID, description, and supplier part # of it's individual
catalog items.
- Choose a kit supplier:
- If the kit will contain catalog items from more than one
supplier, choose Unspecified
supplier.
- If you choose a specific supplier, the kit can contain catalog
items from only that supplier.
- To limit which partitions the kit appears
in, select the Choose
partition(s) check box. By default, this option is not
selected and the kit is visible in all the partitions in which
the kit's supplier is visible.
- If you are editing a kit that was previously sent for approval,
or if you are editing after copying a
kit, the edits will create a new version of the kit. To view
the original version of the kit, click the Previous Version KitID.
- If the kit was previously sent for approval, click the Kit Approval
flow link to view the details of the kit approval request, including
approval status.
- Edit to view existing catalog kit items:
- To view details about kit items already added to the kit, click
the item's link the Catalog Item column.
- To delete a kit item, select one or more check boxes and click
Delete.
- To specify that the kit item cannot be deleted from the kit
when a user purchases it, select the Required
check box. The quantity field of a required kit item is not editable
when a user purchases the kit.
- Add new catalog kit items:
- To add a catalog item line, click Add.
- To copy an existing catalog item line to the kit, select a check
box and click Copy.
- After the kit item lines appear on this screen, click select
in the Catalog Item column and select a catalog item to add to
the kit.
- To specify that the kit item cannot be deleted from the kit
when a user purchases it, select the Required check box.
The quantity field of a required kit item is not editable when
a user purchases the kit.
- Click Save to save and activate your
changes in the Ariba Buyer product catalog, or click Cancel
to return to the previous screen without saving your changes.
