Tips   Take action on a contract request

Click any link in a tab for more information. If available, you can click the Table Options icon, located in the row above the column headers, to display commands that control the display of data in the table. For example, you can hide or show columns of data; group data; or export data to Excel.

Guidelines for entering Excel data

 

In addition to the standard actions you can take while viewing request details, you can take these actions specific to contracts requests (you must have the permissions necessary to work with contracts):

  • To create a spot purchase sourcing request for the item, click a non-catalog item’s check box and then click Source Request. A warning appears if you try to source a catalog item, or if an item is already sourced.
  • To close or reopen a contract, click Close Contract or Open Contract.
  • To change a contract, click Change.
  • To create a receipt for items listed on a contract (or verify milestone items), click Receive.
  • To create an invoice for a contract that does not use releases, click Invoice.
  • To open Ariba Enterprise Sourcing to create an RFX for the approved sourcing request whose details you are viewing, click Source.
  • To cancel the sourcing request, click Cancel Sourcing.
  • To return to the workspace in Ariba Contract Workbench that originated this contract or contract request, click Contract Workspace.
  • To export the entire contract or contract request to an Excel file, click Excel Export. In the File Download dialog, click Save to save the request as an Excel file your computer. Do not click Open.
